Organisation: Super Mini Pantry

Asha Mohan

One of my favourite shelves in my home, hands down has to be my super mini spice area.

PS:Dont miss out the Chilly powder! Our way of saying otherwise simple chilli powder :P

Keep it simple

“I am generally a maximalist, but this is one area I absolutely believed in keeping it simple and functional”

I always knew getting a dedicated pantry was out of the window due to the kitchen space constraints. So I did the next best logical thing, to create a super mini pantry area in one of the cupboards. Being an Indian means, lot more spices to hold in a lot less area.

Finding the right and affordable storage solutions

One of the most important thing was to get the right type of storage containers to fit the space. As if that wasn't enough already I also wanted to do it on a budget. With a bit of planning and scouring through the internet for various options, I went with these beautiful tall peach coloured glass containers (6 of them) from Ikea to hold larger quantity pulses and spices. Also for everyday use and practicality went with these jam presevartives glass jars (12) from Hobby Craft. I already had the wired basket from Ikea at home and it came handy in bringing it all together. Finally for finishing touch got these chalkboard peel and stickers from Amazon and it tied it all together

I am super happy with the way this space turned out.
