Makeover: Embrace the Space

Asha Mohan

Thats been my mantra for our home, so when we wanted add a cosy home office nook in the master bedroom. We used the only space left to create a functional workspace.

“Right off the bat one of the two things I wanted for this space is a statement wallpaper, that will brighten up and make this area standout.”

The one that stood out to me was this beautiful Retro grey city scene wallpaper from B&Q. It had everything I was looking for; splashes of pink on the grey background wallpaper and city scape.

However the fun didn't last long, as we had the daunting task of wallpapering especially around the radiator :). Obviously my handy dandy husband came to my rescue in getting this sorted and It took us solid few hours to finish the task.

“The second thing was a functional and less footprint Ladder desk that will take advantage of the vertical height.”

I found this amazing ladder shelf from Amazon by this brand called Sobuy and it fits the space perfectly. Then the first level of styling included bringing in an existing chair and other knick knacks to fill the space. But one of my favourite element has to be the mason jar light (slide next),that sets the mood in the evenings.

For me the best part of styling is the multiple iterations to achieve the final look and here it is!!!
