One of the common theme that runs in our home is the display of art across all rooms. But, the one dear to us definitely has to be the organically formed Art wall in the Living room.

As they say “Art is everywhere you look for it - El Greco" . These are the pieces we either stumbled upon by chance or went in search or just found it. Also unconsciously started growing with different mediums.. Some of my favourites,
Flea markets, Street markets
Van Gough's 'Caffe Terrace' canvas painting was the first one we bought together, found this in one of the London Markets. This particular piece was the one that made me fall in love with paintings.
Unplanned Visit to Portobello Market + Unexpected find = Vintage 'Poppy' art :)
Finding street art from travels
One of the best part for me about travelling is coming home with another painting or art to include in the wall. Like the local street art from Santorini, Belgium, Stockholm, New York and few more places...

Mixing different mediums on a display wall
There are quiet a few we have incorporated in this wall, like the Street name metal board or the Athens wall plaque. But my favourite hands down as to be hese ceramic wall plaques are finds from streets of York, England. They are hand painted and blasted in oven.

Surprise unique finds from local stores
I was delighted to find this unique piece at Tj maxx. Given my love with that store, I wasn't disappointed.. This one is a combination of a faux leather frame with jute background and plaque mounted painting

Do it Yourself
Last but not the least and easiest and best way for adding art is to make one yourself :). Like the cargo ship photograph, that's one of Hari's favourite clicks so it had to be there.
This whole process has been fun and therapeutic in many ways for me and my never ending love for art..
